Become a Live Like Locals Ambassador
Amplify your business. Earn alongside it. Help build the community you live in.
Are you passionate about your city? Already known in your neighborhood? Running a business, building a career, or growing a brand that depends on local people knowing who you are?
The Live Like Locals Ambassador Program is for independent business owners, agents, and professionals who want to grow what they already do through a trusted local platform. You don’t change your career. You don’t start a side hustle. You plug your existing business into a community media platform that reaches 250,000 people a month, hosts 50+ events a year, and pays you for the referrals you make along the way.
Not an influencer program. Not a side hustle. Not a membership. This is collaborative marketing. A real partnership between your business and ours.
What is Live Like Locals?
Live Like Locals is a community events, media, and entrepreneurial platform. We host more than 50 events a year across Savannah and growing. We produce a weekly Top Five Events video series, the Savannah Spotlight interview series, and short-form video features for local businesses. We publish a website and weekly newsletter that reach thousands of locals every month.
Founded in Savannah in 2017 by Jose Rosa, a marketing professional with 30 years of experience, the platform has grown into one of the most trusted local voices in the region. Our anchor event drew 6,000 attendees and 212 vendors in a single Sunday.
Behind every Ambassador stands a platform with 250,000+ monthly social reach, 16,000+ monthly email views, and 3,000+ event attendees every month. That’s the audience your business gets access to the moment you join.
We are not just an event company. We are a local media company, a marketing platform, and a community movement. And we are building it across multiple cities, with Ambassadors leading the way into every new market.
What being an Ambassador actually means
Being a Live Like Locals Ambassador is not a job, a club, or a content creator gig. It’s a collaborative marketing partnership between you and the LLL platform.
You join as an independent contractor. You keep full ownership of your business, your clients, and your professional identity. The Ambassador role is additive. It layers a community platform, a marketing channel, and a referral income stream on top of what you already do.
We work with real estate agents, photographers, insurance agents, marketing professionals, fitness coaches, event planners, restaurateurs, nonprofit leaders, and more. Your profession is not a limitation. It’s your angle. It’s how you show up in the community and how Live Like Locals reaches the people you already serve.
Here’s how the partnership works.
You bring your time, your community presence, your professional network, and your willingness to refer local businesses to the LLL platform. You show up at events. You create content. You introduce people to what we do.
We bring the platform, the audience, the content production, and the community trust we’ve built since 2018. We feature your business in our content. We give you free vendor spaces at our events. We promote you to our 250,000-person audience. We pay you commissions on every referral you make.
Three things grow at the same time: your business, our platform, and the community we both serve.
This is not a typical local membership group. Most local memberships give you a listing and a monthly meeting. Live Like Locals gives you a stage. Featured content, co-branded events, free vendor spaces, a free business directory listing, commission income, video content produced about you, and a collaborative marketing strategy built around your specific business. Backed by a founder with 30 years of marketing experience who is actively training you.
Who this is for
This program is built for people who are already doing something in their community and want to do it on a bigger stage. Specifically:
Independent business owners and professionals of any industry. Real estate agents, photographers, insurance and financial professionals, fitness coaches, restaurateurs, retail shop owners, marketers, designers, nonprofit leaders, consultants, creatives. If you run something or represent something, you fit here.
People with a real local presence. You don’t have to be famous. You do have to be known. A gym you go to every week, a church community, a co-working space, a parent group, a neighborhood you’ve lived in for years. Somewhere in your city, people know your name.
People who are active on social media. You don’t have to be a content creator. You do have to have a positive, established public presence on at least one platform (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, or LinkedIn).
People who understand consistency. Showing up monthly is more valuable than showing up once. The Ambassadors who win in this program are the ones who keep showing up after the novelty wears off.
People who want to earn through their network. You’re comfortable referring local businesses to a platform you believe in. You don’t have to be a salesperson. You do have to be willing to make introductions.
Who this isn’t for. This is not for people looking for a passive income side hustle. It’s not for people who want to be paid for posting on social media without doing the in-person work. It’s not for someone whose only goal is exposure for their own brand with nothing offered in return. This is a real partnership. You put in real work. We pay you for the results.
The collaborative marketing idea
The most valuable part of being an Ambassador isn’t the commission. It isn’t the free vendor space. It isn’t the directory listing. Those are real, and they matter.
The most valuable part is what you and Live Like Locals can build together that neither of us could build alone.
That’s collaborative marketing. Using the LLL platform as a shared stage for things that serve both your business and the community at the same time. A few examples of what that actually looks like:
A financial advisor co-hosts an investment seminar promoted to LLL’s full audience. LLL provides the platform and the promotion. The advisor brings the expertise and their own network. Both audiences grow at the same time.
A fitness coach partners with LLL on a wellness-focused community event. Vendor spaces, video content, social promotion, and a new audience of families who now know the coach’s name.
A photographer becomes the official event photographer for multiple LLL events. Builds a portfolio, earns fees, and becomes a visible community presence.
A videographer or editor becomes part of the LLL content team for specific projects. Real production credits, paid work, and visibility across every platform LLL distributes through.
A nonprofit director uses Savannah Spotlight to tell their organization’s story. Reaches thousands of locals who become donors, volunteers, and advocates.
A real estate agent co-brands a “Living in Savannah” video series. Reaches potential buyers and sellers through content that feels like community storytelling, not advertising.
The possibilities are limited only by creativity. Your role is to bring your expertise, your network, and your community presence. Our role is to be the platform, the reach, and the production capability.
Together, the impact is bigger than what either of us could do separately.
How you grow with us
Live Like Locals pays you in real income, not exposure. You earn commissions on every referral you make to the platform. Local businesses, apartment communities, event organizers, corporate sponsors. Every introduction is a paid opportunity, and the recurring accounts you bring in continue paying you month after month.
But the income is only one part of what grows.
As you show up, build relationships, and become a consistent presence in the community, your role grows with you. New Ambassadors start with the basics: posting, attending events, making referrals. Ambassadors who stay consistent earn featured content, guest-hosting opportunities on our video series, and a stronger spotlight across our platforms. Ambassadors who go further become Legacy Partners. Deeper revenue sharing, custom content built around them, a seat at the strategy table, and the chance to anchor Live Like Locals in a new city as we expand.
That last part matters. Live Like Locals is being built across multiple cities, and the Ambassadors who put in the work here become the people who lead it elsewhere. Your first month is about making referrals. Your first year could be about leading a market.
The full commission structure, the tier requirements, and the path to Legacy Partner are walked through in onboarding and the Ambassador Playbook. We don’t promise specific numbers. We promise that the opportunity is real, the structure rewards consistency, and the Ambassadors who put in the work earn meaningfully and grow into something bigger.
What we ask of you
This is a real partnership. To make it work, here’s what we ask:
Show up. Attend or support at least 2 Live Like Locals events every month. Represent LLL at 2 to 3 outside community events every month.
Stay active online. Share 1 to 2 Live Like Locals posts per week on your personal platforms. Tag us when you do.
Refer. Introduce local businesses, vendors, sponsors, and other Ambassadors to the platform. This is how you earn.
Train. Attend Ambassador training on the first and third Wednesday of every month. In person. Two hours. This is where you get the tools, the coaching, and the community.
Contribute. Submit photos, videos, and stories from events you attend. Participate in content. Show up on camera when invited.
Be consistent. The Ambassadors who win in this program are the ones who keep showing up after the novelty wears off.
How to apply
Applying to become a Live Like Locals Ambassador is two steps: a short video and an application form. Together they tell us who you are, how you communicate, and whether you’re the right fit for this community.
Step one: Send us a video
Record a 60-second video. Use your phone. Don’t overthink it. We’re not looking for production quality. We’re looking for the real you.
Your video can be any of these:
- An announcement for an upcoming local event (real or made up)
- A quick interview with a friend, neighbor, or local business owner
- A personal message about why your community matters to you and why you want to be part of this
This is your audition. It doesn’t have to be polished. It does have to be real.
Step two: Fill out the application
The form below asks about you, your business, your community presence, and what you’re hoping to build through Live Like Locals. The more honest and specific your answers, the better we can decide together whether this is the right fit.
There are no wrong answers. There are no trick questions. Take your time.
