Clay is an artist, producer, and visionary who believes in bridging communities and helping others find the courage to pursue their passions.
Raised in Savannah, Georgia, Clay Hodges draws deeply from his southern roots and lived experiences to create art that uplifts, empowers, and sparks meaningful conversation. His creative journey began with music, but quickly grew beyond the stage. Using music videos as a launchpad into filmmaking, Clay evolved into a producer and director with a passion for visual storytelling. Now based in Atlanta, he’s the creator and host of Phat Vegan– a plant-based lifestyle show blending culture, humor, and health into engaging, entertaining episodes. His most recent release, Riverbounce, is a vibrant tribute to Savannah’s Gullah Geechee heritage, marrying local legacy with contemporary sound.
Clay brings brands, partners, and audiences an authentic voice, a strong creative vision,and a commitment to community, wellness, and Black excellence.
Whether through live performances, digital campaigns, or storytelling content, he thrives on collaboration and uses creativity as a tool for positive change.

Clay is the founder of Hodge Mahal Media LLC, an entertainment company specializing in music, film, and digital storytelling. Through his work, he partners with creatives, organizations, and communities to produce projects that inspire and resonate. His expertise lies in blending entertainment with purpose and finding innovative ways to amplify culture, highlight untold stories, and connect with diverse audiences.
Outside of work
When Clay isn’t onstage or behind the camera, he enjoys reading, cooking, hiking, and discovering new foods. You can often find him at Naan Appetite in Pooler, one of his favorite local spots. Clay is especially passionate about encouraging others to pursue their passions and helping people tap into their creativity and find the courage to follow their own path.
