Hey there, Coastal Empire! Lorallye Robertson here, and I am so excited to count down this week’s Top Five Events happening August 18th through August 24th. Whether you’re chasing sunsets, cheering on hometown athletes, or looking for the perfect family outing, this week has something for everybody. Let’s jump right into it — starting at #5!

#5 — Sunset Market at Savannah Quarters

Thursday, August 20
5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
The Ascot at Savannah Quarters, 102 Lusk Lane, Pooler, GA

Kick off your week the right way at the brand-new Farmers & Fishermen Sunset Market! This one-of-a-kind riverfront gathering brings together local makers, artisans, and food vendors for an evening of fresh finds and good vibes. Bring your friends, your family, and yes — even your pup! Best of all, entry is completely FREE and open to the public. Whether you’re shopping for handcrafted goods or just soaking in the sunset, this is Savannah’s newest must-visit market experience.

#4 — Third Thursday Art Show

Thursday, August 20
6:00 PM
Little James and The Ann Savannah, 110 Ann St, Savannah, GA

Calling all art lovers! One of Savannah’s longest-running monthly fine art gatherings is back for another Third Thursday Art Show. Come hang out with friends (or make some new ones) while browsing incredible work from Savannah’s best local artists. With a full bar, delicious eats to order, and live music setting the mood, this is the perfect way to spend a Thursday evening in Savannah.

#3 — Squeaky Clean: A Kids + Family Improv Show

Saturday, August 22, 2026
5:30 PM
Front Porch Improv, 210 W Victory Drive, Savannah, GA

Get ready to laugh until it hurts! Squeaky Clean is a completely interactive, family-friendly improv show where your suggestions become the punchlines. Kids and adults alike will love watching hilarious scenes and games unfold — and if you’re feeling brave, you might even get pulled up on stage to join the fun! Even better, proceeds from ticket sales directly benefit Tidewater Waldorf School in Savannah, so you’re laughing for a great cause too.

#2 — Diamondback Terrapin Hatchling Show & Tell

Saturday, August 22
10:30 AM
Savannah Children’s Museum, 655 Louisville Road, Savannah, GA

Here’s one for the whole family — an up-close encounter with baby Diamondback Terrapins! Representatives from the Skidaway Audubon Diamondback Terrapin Rescue Project will be on hand to share how local conservation efforts, including nest protection and egg relocation, are helping this coastal species recover. All ages are welcome to attend, and kids 6 and older can hold a hatchling!

RSVP required — email ahart@chsgeorgia.org to reserve your spot.
Included with museum admission, and free parking is available.

#1 — Catch a Savannah Steel Game

Friday, August 21 | Saturday, August 22 | Sunday, August 23
Enmarket Arena, Savannah, GA

Topping our list this week — three full nights of hometown B-Ball action with the Savannah Steel!

Friday, August 21 – Faith & Family Night: An uplifting evening for the whole family.
Saturday, August 22 – Back to School Night: Celebrating learning, leadership, and athletic excellence.
Sunday, August 23 – Fan Appreciation Night: The Steel bring the energy one last time and say thank you to the fans who made it all possible.
