Hey, Coastal Empire! Renee LaSalle here with your Live Like Locals Top Five Events countdown, and let me just say it: this week is not messing around. We’ve got dollar slices, dinking paddles, garden dirt, gut-busting laughs and a finish line that runs straight across home plate. Whether you’re a lifelong Savannahian, a Pooler transplant or someone who just really likes pizza (respect), there’s something on this list with your name on it.
So clear the calendar, text the group chat and let’s count it down from five to one.
#5 Throwback Pizza Night

🕕 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
📍 Stoner’s Pizza Joint – Pooler| 201 Tanger Outlets Blvd, Suite 620, Pooler

Throwback Pizza Night is back for round three, and honestly, the third time might be the tastiest. Live Like Locals and Stoner’s Pizza Joint in Pooler are teaming up again for an easy weeknight of good pizza, good people and good times.
Here’s the best part: $1 slices from 6 to 8 PM. Grab a slice or three, pull up a chair and catch up with your neighbors. Pooler regular or first-timer looking for a low-key night out, this is the Thursday move.
No cover. No pressure. Just show up hungry. RSVP so we know to save you a seat.

Little hands, meet big green thumbs. Farm Friday invites visitors to explore the Frogtown Garden and learn about the fruits, vegetables and herbs growing right there in downtown Savannah. It’s a half hour of hands-on, kid-approved learning that makes veggies genuinely cool.
Bonus: make a day of it and catch a train ride next door at the Georgia State Railroad Museum. Train rides run Wednesdays through Sundays, weather permitting.
#1 Nine Line Foundation’s 13th Annual Run for the Wounded

Taking the top spot this week is the event with the biggest heart. Join hundreds of supporters for Savannah’s longest-running fundraiser benefiting the Nine Line Foundation and the wounded veterans they serve. Choose the 5K or 10K and run, walk or ruck your way across the finish line.
Here’s what makes it unforgettable:

– 🐾 Kids and leashed dogs welcome
– 🌳 Scenic route through Daffin Park
– ⚾ Epic finish across home plate at Grayson Stadium
