There is a certain kind of night you cannot fake. The kind where the door keeps opening, the tables keep filling, and the room hums because the right people are in it. That was Throwback Pizza Night at Stoner's Pizza Joint in Pooler, and the locals showed up for it.
On Thursday, July 23, Live Like Locals and Stoner's Pizza Joint threw open the doors for a night built on a simple promise: big pizza, good people, and good vibes. Dollar slices did not hurt either. Families, regulars, first-timers, and a good crowd of folks who just heard it was happening rolled in and made the place their own.
The locals came out, and they came to stay
Good pizza, good company. Guests brought the energy all night long.
What makes a Live Like Locals night different is not the promotion. It is the people. This was not an audience watching a screen. It was a room full of neighbors talking to each other, meeting the folks who live a few streets over, and reminding everyone that Pooler is a real community, not just an exit off the highway.
Stoner's Pizza Joint set the table for it. Great pizza has a way of slowing people down and keeping them in their seats a little longer, and that is where the good stuff happens. Conversations started. Kids ran around. Familiar faces caught up, and new ones got introduced.
This is what "live like locals" actually looks like. Not an ad. A room full of neighbors who chose to spend their evening together.
Dollar slices, hot out of the oven, gave everyone a reason to stay a while.
A throwback with a purpose
Big pizza. Good people. Good vibes. Even the four-legged locals got in on Throwback Pizza Night.
The throwback theme was the hook, but the point was connection. Nights like this are the heart of what Live Like Locals does across Pooler, Savannah, and beyond. We are a community events and media platform, and our whole model is built on showing up in person and bringing people together, then telling the story afterward so the good energy keeps going.
Partnering with a local business like Stoner's Pizza Joint is how that works best. When a neighborhood spot opens its doors for a community night, everyone wins. The business gets a room full of real customers who now have a memory attached to the place. The community gets a night out that feels like it belongs to them. And the whole town gets one more reason to keep it local.
Thank you, Pooler

To everyone who came out for Throwback Pizza Night: thank you. You are the reason it worked. And a big thank you to Stoner's Pizza Joint for being the kind of partner that opens the door and lets the community in.
If you missed this one, do not worry. This is just the start of what we are building together in Pooler. Keep an eye on Live Like Locals, because the next one is already on the way.
