Yanira is an insurance agency owner, bilingual community advocate, and relationship-builder passionate about helping families and businesses protect their future.
Originally from El Salvador, Yanira Salamanca is the owner of Brightway Insurance, The Yanira Salamanca Agency in Savannah. As a dedicated businesswoman, loving wife, and proud mother of three wonderful children, Valerie, Matthew, and Michael, she brings warmth, determination, and personal care to everything she does.
Through her insurance work, Yanira helps families, individuals, and businesses better understand their options and protect what matters most. Her approach is built on trust, education, and genuine relationships, making clients feel supported as they plan for the future.
Yanira is also deeply active in the community. She enjoys collaborating on events, supporting nonprofit causes, and creating spaces where people feel welcomed and included. Through her involvement with the Metropolitan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, she helps strengthen connections across Savannah’s growing business and Latin communities.
For Yanira, living like a local means showing up, building bridges, and helping more people feel connected to the opportunities, events, and relationships happening throughout the city.

For Yanira, Live Like Locals is an opportunity to help more people feel seen, included, and connected to the city around them. She is especially passionate about helping the Latin community become more involved in Savannah’s social events, local businesses, and community opportunities.
As a bilingual ambassador, Yanira hopes to help bridge language and cultural gaps while also building strong relationships across communities. She looks forward to collaborating with other ambassadors, learning from their experiences, and representing Live Like Locals at events where people can recognize her as part of a group of professionals contributing to the city’s growth.
