Huey Magoo’s Is Coming Soon to Port Wentworth
Port Wentworth, get ready. Huey Magoo’s, home of “The Filet Mignon of Chicken,” is opening soon at 4 Magnolia Blvd.
The restaurant is being brought to town by Amanda Griffin and KRM Chicken, the local franchise group behind Huey Magoo’s in Hinesville. Port Wentworth will be their next location, putting fresh chicken tenders just minutes from home for families, commuters and the crews working along the Highway 21 corridor.
What makes Huey Magoo’s different
Huey Magoo’s was founded in Orlando in 2004 with one idea: serve the best chicken tender possible. Every tender is cut from the tenderloin, which the brand calls the best three percent of the chicken. It’s marinated for 24 hours, then hand-breaded or grilled to order. Guests can also get their tenders sauced in flavors like Buffalo, Garlic Parmesan and Lemon Pepper. The menu rounds out with sandwiches, wraps, salads, crinkle-cut fries, fresh-cut chips and coleslaw.
A brand on the move
As of August 2026, Huey Magoo’s had 92 restaurants open across 13 states, with the brand’s 100th location expected before the end of the year. That growth is driven by local owners like the KRM Chicken team, who live and work in the communities they serve.
