Craig Robertson has spent years looking at things from a different perspective, sometimes quite literally from hundreds of feet in the air.
His background in GIS, mapping, and drone operations has taught him to understand scale, from seeing the big picture of an entire property or project to noticing the smaller details that bring it to life. Today, he brings that experience to his work as Owner and Licensed Drone Pilot of Falcon Photogrammetry and to his role as a Live Like Locals Ambassador.
For Craig, both roles give him an opportunity to do something he genuinely enjoys: meet people, learn what they are working on, and find practical ways to help.
From Maps and Data to the View From Above
Through Falcon Photogrammetry, Craig provides aerial drone, FPV, traditional photography and videography, and mapping services for real estate, construction, hospitality, businesses, events, and creative projects in Savannah, the surrounding communities, and beyond.
That range allows him to approach projects from several perspectives.
From the sky, aerial imagery can showcase the scale and surroundings of a property, document construction progress, or give businesses a perspective customers rarely get to see. FPV can take viewers through a building, event, or experience in a more immersive way, while mapping and drone technology can provide useful information for more technical projects.
From the ground, Craig also captures traditional photo and video that businesses can use across social media, websites, advertising, and other marketing materials to bring their brand, project and story to life.
By combining ground footage with aerial and FPV perspectives, he can help tell a more complete story, whether he is showcasing a home for sale, documenting a development, capturing the energy of an event, or creating content that helps a local business stand out online.
As a local business owner himself, he understands that clients do not always need the biggest production or longest list of services. Sometimes they simply need someone willing to listen, understand the goal, and recommend what actually makes sense.
Where You’ll Find Craig Off The Clock
When Craig is not flying a drone or working behind a camera, there is a good chance he is still moving.
Working out, yoga, running, hiking, and paddleboarding are all part of how he likes to spend his time. He also enjoys playing pool and video games with friends and making time for family.
There are a few local constants, too.
You can find Craig regularly at Honey’s Homestyle Creamery and Big Bon Bodega, two places that have become part of his Savannah routine.
That mix fits him well. He enjoys technology and technical problem-solving, but he also values simple opportunities to spend time with people, get outside, try something different, or help someone when they need an extra hand.
Using Experience to Help Others
That willingness to help also shows up in the causes Craig cares about.
Mental health is an important one, particularly among men. Craig believes too often men wait until something has already gone wrong before talking about how they are doing. He would like to see mental health become a more normal conversation before someone reaches that point.
Military appreciation is also important to him because of the many friends and family members in his life who currently serve or have served.
Then there is youth mentorship, an area where Craig’s own professional experience gives him something specific to offer.
Drone technology, GIS, mapping, and related fields can lead to careers that many young people may not realize exist. Craig wants opportunities to introduce the next generation to those pathways, answer questions, and show them that drones can be much more than something flown recreationally.
For someone who has spent years developing specialized skills, passing some of that knowledge forward is another way to make the experience matter.
Why Live Like Locals Made Sense
What Craig appreciates about Live Like Locals is the variety of people it brings together.
The Ambassador community includes people from different professions, businesses, and backgrounds who all share an interest in being more involved locally. Craig enjoys the camaraderie, learning what other people are building, and finding ways everyone can support one another.
He also enjoys getting out into the community at local events and meeting people he might not encounter otherwise.
As an Ambassador, Craig wants to be someone people feel comfortable approaching for help, ideas, or connections. That might mean sharing his knowledge, introducing two business owners who should know each other, or pointing someone toward a local opportunity.
He does not need to have every answer. Sometimes being helpful simply means knowing who someone should talk to next.
Bringing a Different Point of View
Craig’s experience has taught him the value of seeing both the big picture and the details, and that perspective extends beyond his work behind a controller or camera.
As a Live Like Locals Ambassador, he hopes to continue building genuine relationships, supporting local businesses, sharing what he knows, and becoming a useful resource for the people he meets along the way.
