Osiris Franklin is most comfortable behind the camera, capturing the people, businesses, and moments happening in front of him.
As a Savannah photographer and videographer, Osiris has turned that skill into a career that has taken him from local corporate projects to productions around the world. Through Osiris Production, he works with businesses and organizations to create professional video content while continuing to build relationships here at home.
But ask Osiris what he wants people to know about him, and his answer is much simpler: he is a nice guy who enjoys meeting people and helping when he can.
That straightforward approach is also a big part of what he brings to the Live Like Locals Ambassador community.
Telling Stories Through the Camera
Osiris is the videographer and creative behind Osiris Production, specializing in professional video production and photography.
His work includes corporate video and other visual content designed to help businesses and organizations communicate their stories more effectively. While Savannah is home, his work has also given him opportunities to travel and create content around the world.
Video gives Osiris a unique way to experience people and places. Being behind the camera means paying attention to details others might miss, finding the moments worth capturing, and figuring out how to turn them into something people want to watch.
It is a skill that fits naturally within a community like Savannah, where there is rarely a shortage of interesting people, businesses, events, and stories to capture.
Keeping His Connection to Savannah
When he is not working on a production, Osiris enjoys something considerably simpler: going to the beach.
He is also involved with the Greater Savannah Black Chamber of Commerce, giving him another opportunity to connect with entrepreneurs, professionals, and organizations throughout the area.
Those relationships matter to Osiris. He enjoys meeting people and learning more about what they are doing, which is one of the things that initially interested him in becoming a Live Like Locals Ambassador.
For someone whose profession is built around documenting other people’s stories, being involved in the community creates even more opportunities to see firsthand what people across Savannah are building.
Showing Up for People Who Need It
One cause particularly important to Osiris is homelessness.
It connects to something that comes through clearly when he talks about his role in the community: he wants to help people.
There is no complicated mission statement behind it. When someone needs support and he has the ability to offer it, Osiris wants to be there.
That same mindset shapes how he approaches being a Live Like Locals Ambassador. He sees the Ambassador community as an opportunity to meet more people, learn what they need, and find ways to help each other.
Sometimes that might involve his professional skills behind a camera. Other times, it could be making an introduction, showing up at an event, supporting someone’s business, or simply being another person they know they can reach out to.
More Connections, More Stories to Tell
Live Like Locals brings together business owners, nonprofits, community leaders, creatives, and residents from throughout the Coastal Empire. For Osiris, that means plenty of opportunities to meet people outside his usual circles.
It also means more opportunities to support the businesses and organizations doing good work around Savannah.
As an Ambassador, Osiris plans to represent Live Like Locals by being present and available when the community needs him. It is an uncomplicated approach, but an important one. Strong local communities need people who are willing to show up, support what others are doing, and contribute the skills they have.
For Osiris, one of those skills happens to be telling stories through a camera.
We are proud to have Osiris Franklin as part of the Live Like Locals Ambassador community and look forward to seeing the people, places, and moments he continues to capture along the way.
If you see Osiris at an upcoming event, do not be surprised if he has a camera nearby. Take a moment to say hello and tell him what you are working on. You may make a new connection, and your story might just be the next one worth capturing.
