Member Spotlight: LJG Events & Stellar Marquees Savannah Build the Moment Everyone Photographs

Welcome to Live Like Locals, LJG Events & Stellar Marquees Savannah.

Think about the last celebration you went to. Odds are you do not remember the napkins or the playlist. You remember the one spot in the room where everybody stopped to take a picture. That spot is Kesha Hamilton’s entire business. She is the owner and creative director of LJG Events, and her promise is refreshingly specific: “We create the moment people want to photograph.” We are glad to welcome Kesha, LJG Events, and her Savannah marquee division, Stellar Marquees Savannah, as the newest members of the Live Like Locals community.

A Business Named for the Life of the Party

LJG Events carries the initials of Laura Jean Garrett, the family matriarch Kesha lost in September 2016. Laura was the one who was the life of every party, the infectious laugh in the room. The company was built to keep that spirit going for other people’s families.

It did not begin as a company. “What started as a creative outlet gradually evolved into something much bigger,” Kesha told Voyage South Carolina. The early years were not tidy. She said yes to too many kinds of work at once, ran herself down, and had to learn the hard lessons about pricing her own craft. Her fix was to narrow rather than widen. Today LJG Events does one thing at a very high level: the focal point of the room.

Kesha also built the business side, not just the craft. She completed the Entrepreneurship for All (EforAll) program, served as an ambassador for the Greater Bluffton Chamber of Commerce, and has appeared on WHHI Television talking about event styling.

What LJG Events Does

LJG Events is a family-owned event styling company working across Savannah, Pooler, Hilton Head Island, Bluffton, Beaufort, Hardeeville, and Charleston.

  • Signature balloon installations. Custom garlands, arches, and sculptural builds designed for the specific room, not pulled off a shelf.
  • Statement backdrops. The wall behind the cake table, the step and repeat, the photo moment guests line up for.
  • LED marquee letters and numbers. Names, ages, brand words, and monograms lit up at three feet tall.
  • Event rentals and styling. Tables, chairs, and the pieces that pull a room together.
  • Corporate and brand experiences. Grand openings, activations, galas, and fundraisers where the design has a job to do.
  • Weddings and milestone celebrations. From intimate weddings to birthdays and anniversaries.

The tagline says it plainly. “We create the moment people want to photograph.”

One Company, One Complete Focal Point

In January 2026, LJG Events launched Stellar Marquees Savannah, a marquee letter division serving Savannah, Pooler, Richmond Hill, Tybee Island, and the surrounding coast. The letters are three feet tall, color changing, and app controlled, so the lighting can shift to match the room or a brand’s colors.

The reason it matters is simple. Most clients used to book balloons from one vendor and marquee letters from another, then hope the two showed up matching and on time. With LJG Events, the garland, the backdrop, and the lit letters all come from one team that designed them together.

Rooted in Community

Kesha’s Savannah portfolio reads like a tour of the local calendar. A Ghost Pirates themed installation, complete with Davy, built for the hockey crowd. A “Visit Pooler” marquee lit up for a community event. A balloon arch for Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Coastal Empire, the kind of job that does not pay in headlines but shows up for families having the worst week of their lives.

That is the same reason she fits here. Live Like Locals exists for business owners who are part of the community, not just selling into it.

In Kesha’s own words: “I’ve shifted from simply providing décor to delivering an experience.”
